The mind is the precursor to the life we create. The incredible Peter Crone said this & the more I learn about how the mind works the more I am blown away by just how powerful our minds are!
Essentially the answer to achieving anything that we want in life is to program our mind to focus on those things & eliminate any doubts or worries about our ability to bring about that achievement.
When I started looking deeply into the world of mindset I remember being amazed by the fact that we create our own feelings. As an emotional being I felt sure that my feelings were derived from the actions of others! Not so, my mind reacts to something in a way that it’s programmed to & that reaction shows my deep feelings about the situation.
I now know that the reason why I felt like my feelings came from outside of me is because they’re mostly automatic & therefore we don’t notice them happening.
Learning this has been a game changer for me. I really do have the ability to control my thoughts & feelings & I get to make them good ones. Ones that suit the life that I want to create & live.
The key thing is learning how to change the patterns that we’ve made habitual over the last 20, 30, or 40+ years. That of course takes some effort, but it’s more than worth it. There are ways to prime your mind to work for you, rather than against you. That means giving yourself the best chance of reacting to situations in a way that supports how you’d like to think & feel.
Our minds create in our life what we think about the most!
Before I get into the detail of that I want to share something important with you. Our minds create in our life what we think about the most. So if our mind is full of worries, anxiety, anger, fear & judgement (of ourselves & others) stuff is going to show up in our life that’s not great. We’ll find that people aren’t helpful to us, things go wrong, stuff keeps on happening that we don’t want.
Conversely if our mind is full of positive intentions, we help others, we don’t judge, we do our best & we’re focused on improving ourselves & our corner of the world, then our mind creates opportunities where good things happen to us. Things go smoothly, good surprises happen, we feel lucky as a result of positive things that we experience.
