I am a Licensed Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). NLP is incredibly powerful & can often resolve things that have been holding a person back for years (or even longer) in a couple of sessions.
I can help you to focus your brain and habits on working for you, instead of against you. So often people find themselves thinking negative thoughts, thoughts that make them feel bad, sometimes really bad, but they still think them, and they do it every day! Did you know that our brains do what we tell them to do? We may not realise that we’re doing it, but that is what happens. We don’t realise it because our subconscious mind does it without us noticing.
You may recognise a situation where you really want to do something, but something within you is holding you back. In this situation you can see that there’s a conflict. Often times though we’re so used to our thoughts making us feel bad/worried/guilty/stressed/scared/exhausted that we think that is just how it is.
Well I have some BIG news for you, it doesn’t have to be this way!
Our brains develop patterns, those patterns become habits and those habits are what drive our actions. Once we become aware of those habits that don’t serve us well, we can change them, often quite easily and the impact on our lives can be huge!
Just imagine, if you find yourself feeling guilty about something a few times a day, those feelings will impact other feelings, they will impact what you do (or don’t do), how you’ll behave and they’ll more than likely affect your energy levels. I can help you get rid of those negative feelings and replace them with something that’s more useful to you. You’ll feel better and have time back to focus on something more productive. Once you start to realise that it’s possible to change unhelpful thoughts and feelings for positive and productive feelings you can start to imagine how much better your life could be. Doesn’t that sound good?
Here is an extract from Thinking on Purpose (written by Dr Richard Bandler, Glenda Bradstock & Owen Fitzpatrick) that sums it up really well:
‘Happiness is not something that happens to you. It’s an activity and you have to get good at it. You have to practice smiling; you have to practice relaxing; you have to look to master all of those things. That’s why people who meditate are so much better at relaxing, they practice it for at least 20 minutes a day. If you don’t practice relaxing, you’re not good at it. Most people practice stressing. If you’re going to practice stressing every day, if you actually can predict that every day you’re going to stress about the same things, especially at roughly the same time, is that smart or is that stupid?’
